Issue 12.2007 >THE CHRISTMAS ISSUE
[The Birth of Jesus Foretold] In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." Luke 1:26-28, NIV
The Christmas Issue This one is easy. It's about the birth of Jesus and how we all suddenly become meditative and celebrate by going to church on Christmas day. Some of us who have become sick and tired of 'the institution' will wake up late because of a hangover and enjoy a quiet morning. Christmas...it's boring after a while. I will not try to market this heavily because there are enough things on the internet to turn us zealous for the cause of Christ again. (Explanation: Christmas is a great opportunity to bring your friends to church, give tracts and show love via WWJD.)
What I'll do is to give you the lowdown of this month's writings, including a Spotlight commentary on CCIS, the biggest Christian event on the streets. Because 'Christmas isn't Christmas/ Till it happens in your heart'.
Praying for you. Enjoy!
Dawn Fung Editor
