Wilderness.
Ask someone what this word means to them and you will never find two answers the same. Across time and history, wilderness has come to mean so many things to so many different individuals, cultures and religions.
So is it a place of death, where dreams go to die? Or is it an "in-between place", somewhere between here and there, between before and after? Perhaps it refers merely to a place of journeying, of learning, growing, maturing. And some may even say that it is where true dreams are born.
As you browse upon the articles and ruminate upon the images in this issue, Wilderness, may you come to a personal understanding not just of the word, but of your own wildernesses, and find that your faithful Lord and Shepherd, Christ Jesus, has never once allowed you to be alone.
