MAY/JUNE

EXHIBITION

HOPE

Triggered by the adoption of two Southeast Asian children, multimedia artist Paul Hume's choice of subject is a cry to develop societies to remember their responsibilities to wards the past and their obligations towards the future. Influenced by abstract expressionism and action painting and its rhythmic making of marks, he uses multi-media to explore the ideas of childhood that remind us of the primary function of art as a spiritual activity.

5 - 21 June 2008. Taksu Singapore, 43 Jalan Merah Saga #02-74, Workloft@chip Bee, Holland Village. Free.

STOCKARTIST V: HOW DARE YOU?

Displaying an array of works by 16 artists from 8 countries, How Dare You? interprets the 'scream' as an impetuous reaction and as a reaction against a forbidden action. This is the intention and the goal of the artists that propose artworks based on the stockartist model. Featuring our very own Yeo Shih Yun.

6 - 27 June 2008, 2.30pm - 7.30pm (Tue to Fri). Stockartist Room, Landsberger Allee 54, 1022249 Berlin. Free.
